Very General Information!

Paris is a must see city due to its amazing sights and monuments! We recommend five big sights: the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Arc Du Triomphe, Le louvre, and Sacre Couer. Below the pictures, we have VERY general information about each, and we are planning to go into another post with more detail. There is much more to do in the city, however these are our favorites! Also, a traveling tip for visiting this gorgeous city would be to go when the weather is warmer, because a lot of the attractions involve walking around outside. Late April, to late September is the best time to go for weather, but it is cheaper to go in the Winter. Traveling to Paris in the Winter isn’t bad or boring, it’s just a lot colder. Paris, France is well for its breathtaking architecture and amazing sights!

Eiffel Tower

It is pretty obvious that Eiffel Tower is one of most popular sight in Paris. At the tower, you are able to buy tickets, climb or ride to the top, and take in the breathtaking view. There is also a restaurant towards the top of the tower, however it is pretty expensive. The gardens around the Eiffel Tower are very pretty and fun to walk around as well. Feel free to visit any time during the day, however it is very cool at night because it lights up at night.

Champs Elysees

The Champs Elysses is a street on the 8th arrondissment of Paris. It is about one mile long and is full of fun shops. At the end of the Champs Elysees is the Arc De Triomphe. It is easier to visit during the day because more stores will be open.

Arc De Triomphe

The Arc De Triomphe is a famous monument in Paris. You walk around, observe, and take tons of photos. Also, you can go up the monument. Everyday, it opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm. If you visit at night, you can see it light up, and there is a flame in the middle of the arc to commemorate an unknown soldier. It is located at the end of the Champs Elysees.

Le Louvre

Le Louvre is a museum full of historical art, and Roman sculptures. The museum opens at 9 am, and closes at 6 pm on everyday except Friday, when it closes at 9:45 pm. We recommend visiting during the day, and when the weather isn’t as nice.

Sacre Coeur

The Sacre Coeur is a one hundred year old Catholic Church, which has an astounding interior with colorful stained glass. There are also shops in the area, and you get a great view of the city. The beautiful church usually opens at 6 am and closes at 10:30 pm. We recommend visiting this church during the day, rather than night.
